Evolve Back Kamalapura Palace

Hampi’s boulder-strewn landscape has remained untouched since the beginning of time. Riddled with ancient Dravidian temple ruins and palaces along the meandering Tungabhadra river against the backdrop of verdant paddy fields – Hampi’s exquisite setting is a mesmerizing canvas set in time. The UNESCO World Heritage site, the capital of the Vijayanagara empire at its zenith, was probably the richest in India and the second-largest medieval-era city in the world after Beijing.

The Evolve Back Kamalapura Palace, Hampi has located only 4 km from the Group of Monuments at Hampi. The hotel draws heavily from Hampi’s rich heritage, architectural splendor and magnificence of the Vijayanagara empire with its fort-like entrances, stone-paved boulevards, and arched hallways. The thoughtfully curated walks and visits organized by the hotel are designed to engage travelers in Hampi’s history, mythology, architecture, and political life, which come alive in its enthralling monuments and temples.

Four types of suites are offered across 46 keys, and although each is different from the other, they are unified by a common theme of sprawling spaces, understated elegance, and luxury. A stay in these apartment-sized suites will take guests back to the Vijayanagara splendor with teardrop-shaped balustrades and lotus ponds while the bathrooms are cladded with self-colored vine inlays. The two restaurants offer a fine selection of continental and Indian cuisine.
